I am a product of the El Monte Union High School District. I have been in the El Monte school system since I was in fifth grade. Once I graduated from Arroyo High School, I attended Mount San Antonio College and transferred to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Asian American Studies. I began my teaching career right after I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona at Rosemead High School. Giving back to the community and the students is my passion. I want to see all students of this district succeed and live up to their potential. I have taught a wide array of classes during my career and have been exposed to every type of student.
I was also actively involved in the Associated Student Body over the last few years as an advisor. I was in charge of planning fundraisers, organizing students for events, and planning activities for the student body such as Prom, Senior Luncheon, Grad Night, and etc...this gave me the most gratification to work with such dedicated students over the course of their high school years.
